The guys showed up with shaved heads and shaved over 4 seconds from yesterday's time. All four ran PR's and combined to break the 28 year old school record. Their historic 3rd place finish also earned them the title of All-State. Their pictures go on the wall of fame and 7:54.25 time goes into the record book. Travis, Jon, Alex and Keegan ran what has been called a perfect race. Their focus, hard work and perseverance paid off. Congratulations!
State semifinals were run Friday morning. 2 teams who qualified at sectionals throughout the state by finishing top 2 or meeting the qualification time of 8:15 represented their schools. RB had qualified with 1st place in 8:01 at the Glenbard South Sectional.
RB ran a seasons best 7:58 with a solid 2nd to be among the 12 teams to survive to run tomorrow in the state finals.
RB's 4 x 800 team ran a season best 8:01.69 to win sectional and move on to state. Keegan anchored with a PR of 1:57.7 and Alex doubled and qualified in the 800 with another PR of 1:58.2. The team of Travis, Jon, Alex and Keegan ran about 13 seconds under the state qualifying time and ahead of their closest competitor.

Keegan Buttimer finished second in the 800 meter run with a 1:58 PR

The 4 x 400 capped the event with a strong showing and earning All Conference awards for John Kingzette, Alex Amaya, Travis Trevizo, and Bryce Bartlett.

The Carlin Nally invite hosted over 20 teams and the Bulldogs turned it on again in he 4 x 800 running a seasons best 8:02. Coach changed the order running Travis, Alex, Keegan and John as anchor. They built a lead and John, with his mental toughness, held of Palatine to bring it home for the Bulldogs.
Hinsdale South Invite provided better weather and RB responded with their season best 4 x 800 in 8:10 for first place.
Monday's Tri with GBS and Fenton was a wet and windy one. The mid-d guys went 1,2 in the 800 and won the 1600 but were out run and finished 2 in the 4 x 400.
