Ryan Hall Takes on the London Marathon: Part Deux (Podcast) "Now several months removed from his victory at the USA Olympic Marathon Trials last November, Ryan Hall joins us for Episode 132 of The Final Sprint Running Podcast to share this thoughts on turning the page, the Olympic year, and beginning the next big chapter in his young, but already exhilarating career. In the interview he talks about his preparations for his next race, this Sunday’s Flora London Marathon, his tapering strategy, expectations, not having a specific time goal, and many other details regarding his second trip across the pond. Download the podcast to hear Ryan talk about how his younger brother Chad is adjusting to college life as he runs track and cross country for the University of Oregon. He also replies to some of the critical comments that readers have made on some of the other running websites about his faith. In addition, he explains why he enjoys blogging and he answers some of the questions that some of you have asked on his TFS Elite Athlete Blog (http://ryanhall.thefinalsprint.com), including questions about weight training for marathoners, why he’s running London instead of Boston, how he motivated himself back to the top of his game when he was struggling at Stanford and much, much more!" |

NEHST is casting 5 people per mile. All runners get to run their historic mile with Charlie and Marshall - after that new runners will join them while others drop back and continue if they want to. We have posted the route, and if you would like to run with Charlie and Marshall, sign up to be cast in the film. Celebrity runners will be announced shortly. Anyone and everyone is eligible for submissions, no matter how young, or old, no matter if you are disabled, or if you have never run before. Great opportunity to be in front of the cameras, potentially meet some celebrities, and be a part of history." |

JOSH COX - "Miracles . . . A Runner’s Case for Theism" Cox, a 2:13 marathoner, is a graduate of Liberty University and one of a large number of elite runners who consider their religious faith a hugely important, intrinsic part of their lives. But he doesn't talk about it that much - and to many people he's a cover model with rock hard "abs" who was once on the TV show "The Bachelorette." But Cox is blogging now, and people have flooded him with e-mails about his faith, so now he responds. In great, great detail. "Leave me with my own personal experience with the Creator," he writes, "and you will find that I believe what I believe because I have experienced Him in real, tangible ways." And some of those ways are, to Cox, miraculous. And some of them had to do with his astonishing running experiences. |

Blood and water fuel Maasai warriors' marathon They survive on fresh blood drained from the neck of a living cow, they often run for days and nights on end to find water and their shoes are made from car tires cut up and strapped to their feet. So running the London Marathon should be no problem for six Maasai warriors who have come to Britain from their village of Elaui in northern Tanzania as part of a campaign to raise money to find a vital water source |
