Richarsdon wins state team title alone
AUSTIN, Texas -- Bonnie Richardson ran. She threw. She jumped. And when it was time to hand out the team trophies, Richardson accepted the 1A team championship for Rochelle High School -- by herself. Bonnie Richardson of Rochelle High School scored 42 team points to win the Texas 1A track title.

Richardson, only one from school to qualify for state, wins track team title!!
This is an amazing story!!! We need more people and kids to hear about this one!!! ESPN- "Bonnie Richardson ran. She threw. She jumped. And when it was time to hand out the team trophies, Richardson accepted the 1A team championship for Rochelle High School -- by herself. Richardson was the only Rochelle athlete to qualify for the state meet and stunningly won the team title. University Interscholastic League officials said it was the first time they can remember a single athlete winning a girls' team title."

No 10k in New York for Ritz
Dathan Ritzenhein, who is a 2008 U.S. Olympic marathoner after his second place 2:11:07 at the U.S. Men’s Olympic Marathon Trials in New York in November, had won the 2007 Healthy Kidney 10K in New York in a course record 28:08 and was expected to defend his title in that race on May 17. But for reasons he details below, he has withdrawn from the race to focus on his Olympic preparation.
