World-record holder Paula Radcliffe expects to run the marathon at the Beijing Olympics despite an injury to her left leg.An MRI scan Thursday revealed a low-grade stress fracture of her left femur. The injury also affects her hip. Still, the Englishwoman says she's "90 to 100 percent" likely to compete in the marathon Aug. 19.

Volunteer XC Coach Lomong Hits Olympic "A" Standard Lopez Lomong, the new volunteer coach for the Air Force cross country team, earned the Olympic `A' qualifying mark in the 1500-meter run at the adidas Track Classic over the weekend. Lomong, a two-time national champion and five-time All-American at Northern Arizona (2005-07), finished fourth at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., with a career-best time of 3:36.36. |

Currently based in Arkansas, in the USA, Mark has had an impressive career which culminated in him winning a bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games 1500m in Melbourne. Although not as well known, Mark has a better personal best than Craig Mottram over 1500m. We catch up with Mark as he prepares for his assault on a Beijing qualifying standard. |

Stuczynski breaks American pole vault record
Jenn Stuczynski,the 25-year-old from Churchville, N.Y., broke her American record in the pole vault at the Adidas Track Classic on Sunday.Stuczynski cleared 16 feet, 03/4 inches to break the mark of 16-0 she set last year in the Reebok Grand Prix in New York. Only world record holder Yelena Isinbayeva has gone higher. Stuczynski missed three times at a world record 16-51/2.
