ABOUT NATIONAL TRACK LEAGUE

The National Track League (NTL) delivers a coherent and sustainable grand prix series targeted to athletes at, and just below, Diamond League level right here in North America. NTL allows athletes the opportunity to compete against elite international competition close to home without the burden of travelling to Europe (cost, uncertainty of races, jet lag). The NTL series and its competitions serve as a dynamic marketing platform to help grow the brand of track and field while helping raise awareness of athletes in the sport. Last year’s series served as the stage for 46 Olympic standards by Canadian athletes and saw athletes from 31 countries participate, including 6 London 2012 Olympic medalists.

2013 NTL Disciplines

Ten events (6 male / 6 female) have been identified as NTL Series Prize Purse events in 2013. The NTL prize purse is exclusive to Canadian athletes. Each competition may offer a prize purse structure outside of the NTL framework which is open to all athletes (Canadian and international athletes).
