A very young Emily Sisson running for the Cornhusker Flyers Running Club in Omaha. She's an 8th grader here at the USATF Junior XC Championships in Rhode Island. Photo kind of explains why she doesn't mind heading for the University of Wisconsin!
This was a 4K race for Youth Girls. Emily won with a time of 15:55.06. Other girls of note in the same race were Julie Brasher of Albuquerque (mom & dad have one of the best track programs I've ever seen for young kids), Jacque Taylor of Santa Rosa, starting as a Carolina Tarheel next month, and Alex Dunne, daughter of Coach Mike Dunne, San Clemente HS, Ca. Alex is running for Stanford.
