Just wanted to come back and comment on Alex at the West Regionals. It was a perfect day and she ran a perfect race, 19:59, along with Nicole Blood going 1-2. Rupp absolutely owned it, by nearly a minute, at 27:41 on my watch. Granted both Oregon and Washington held a few back, saving some of their strength for the Nats. One Oregon runner told me she thought both schools just brought enough to "get the job done" and it seemed to make perfect sense.

Schooled!? Ha! I'll be on the sidelines at Stanford next Saturday with my stopwatch in hand. I'm looking for the best performances from both Oregon, Washington, and Stanford girls. Hope the weather's good. The Nationals are going to be an all-PAC-10 affair this year!

uo got schooled

None of the UO women really had the determined look like the Huskie women did. They seemed tired and not too excited to be racing. Lindsey ran great, but still didn't have the same intensity as she did at Dellinger or Mike Hodges. Same goes for Blood, Grelli, and Kosinski. give them a few weeks and the drive should be there for NCAA's. GO DUCKS!!!!

I'll wait two weeks and see for myself. Sorry if I emplied she is "the" team leader. There are certainly more than one on this team.

Alex was not sick. As far as the team leader thing, I think there's more than one on this particular team on any given day.

Saw it in the run vid, but this picture says it all. Alex Kosinski was not 100% for this race. Looks like cold, flu, no sleep, something. West Regional, NCAA Championships will show a much faster team leader later this month.
