When the Bar Gets High
What to do when an athlete hits that mental ceiling? That moment when he/she meets adversity and has to perform big time to get over that bar? Blockburger tells his athletes to imagine that the bar is at a height they've made before. It is important to remain consistent (both mentally and with routine) before approaching a jump. Deviating from the original approach is not recommended going when trying to jump higher than ever before.
