 The results from the Saucony Olym-pick are in! David Lloyd and Erik Myers brought home the bacon, getting 10 points each. Because of the tie in points, we went to who guessed the closest time, and David Lloyd had a closer guess. Erik Myers still gets a pair of Saucony spikes of his choice. Guys, look forward to an email from Saucony giving you details on the shipping and sizing.

Another note on the competition: 3 of the the users who picked Wilfred Bungei to win the 800 also happened to pick Kenenisa Bekele to win, but unfortunately their times were not in the top 10. Close, but no cigar.

Laconia Highschool (NH) will be sporting the new Shay XC's for the 08 Season!

* Women's marathon was a wash. No one had picked Constantina Tomescu of Romania to win it all, so everyone received zero points for that.

Legitimate question. To get points you needed not only the correct pick, but also a top ten time prediction for that race. For instance, someone may have correctly picked the 5k and 800, but if their time wasn't in the top 10 for the 5k, they didn't receive points for it. Thanks for the feedback

I could be wrong in asking this, but why would someone who only guessed one of the races correctly beat out three people who guessed the winner of two races??!!

no the person who picked other should not when the contest when every one could have picked Tomescu. In fact everyone should be fairly happy since a ton of people picked the two that dropped out, Naguchi and Deena Kastor.

Rules & Information

Use your knowledge to get your whole Highschool XC team (or former Highschool XC team) set up with Saucony Shay XC spikes for the 2008 XC season. Individual winner gets Saucony spikes of their own choice.
  • Enter Your High School, City and State (Only High Schools in the US are eligible)
  • Predict the 3 winners and their times
  • Once you submit, you can not change your predictions.
  • Your high school must be in the US.
  • Points will be awarded based on the top 10 closest predictions in each event. You have to pick the correct winner of the event to have your time count. Points will be awarded like so: 1st-10pts, 2nd-9pts, 3-8pts, and so on.
  • Best possible score = 30pts
  • You must be logged into Flotrack to submit your predictions.
  • Predictions must be made by the 16th of August (5pm CST)
