And while I'm not a Flotrack guy, it doesn't mean I'm not a runner guy. Don't get the two confused. The contest just happened to be on this site and not on any of the other big running ones.

Not to be an ass, but it is kinda sad that three of the four individual winners only became flotrack members for the purpose of this contest (check out their join dates). Loyal flotrack members got screwed on this one. Im just a sore loser though.

I actually held the domain http://www.shavethatstache.com for over a year because of the sheer hatred for my awesomeness of a mustache. My stache is legendary and can easily be seen in my Pre picture. =)

Yeah dude, 'fraid the below is true. I remember when you were first starting out on the Hanson team, I'd run on the open Thursday nights, you helped me out with some shoes too. You were clean shaven back then, but not for long after you laid eyes on Greatness (ned flander's stache, moutain jack beard, colonel Sanders, etc.). My fu (especially) was and is greatly recognized in elite running circles, mostly in Michigan. Regardless, it is not small honor I have that my face has helped propel you to glory. right on, good luck in Beijing.

My friend Ian (better known as El Scrotito) has been growing Fu's, dirty stashes, chops, etc for years now since before peach fuzz first appeared on Brian's face. Coincidentally Scro often ran with Hansons during this time. Good luck to Brian, he'd certainly best Ian in a marathon, but when it comes to facial hair, El Scrotito es numero Uno!

  • Photo Submissions: July 24th - August 10th (11:59pm CST)
  • Voting: August 11th - 17th (2pm CST)
  • Can they be photoshopped? Yes
  • You can submit as many entries as you want.
  • How does voting work? During the voting phase, each user (you must be logged in) can vote for their top 5 favorite stashes, assigning point values of 1-5. At the end of the voting, the highest vote getting photos will win.
  • All your stashes belongs to us a.k.a Brooks Sport and Flotrack have the right to use/and/or reproduce any/all of the entries under Creative Commons Attribution License.
  • People that work for Brooks or Flotrack can participate but they only win Brian's respect. (no gear)

2008 Olympian and Hansons-Brooks star Brian Sell is preparing for the Olympic Marathon in Beijing on Aug 24th and we are excited about his chances and decided to get in the spirit by throwing a contest. Brian shows up to every race with a new look, either a fu manchu, dirty stash, chops or a Paul Bunyan beard. We are asking you guys to "Sell Yoursellf" and show us your best facial hair. You could win a signed pair of Brian's special Brooks T6 Racer, a Brooks Track Heritage Jacket or an Olympic marathon watching party at your shoe store and most importantly....... Brian's respect.
