is there a start list anywhere?

Stolen Entry 4 years ago

Entrance don't need to run a 4:10 mile, they just need to lie well enough to get in. Puma must have had trouble filling out a competitive line up. On Fri you'll see someone who stole his unattached invite entry into the Puma Mile. LOL!

Anonymous Coward is the name automatically assigned to anyone who doesn't fill in the "Enter Your Name" box before posting.
Mark Flo's humour.

Most likely it was 5 different people.
Humour? What are you, British?

Why doesn't David Torrence give this race a shot!?

Great vid and great idea but please stop saying "at" at the end of sentences!

Where are Mark and Ryan? No need for "at".

JBizz 4 years ago

This is a great idea. More companies should do this. It would grow the sport and spark excitement. It also wouldnt be too costly for big comanies. It would also be a good way to find and help talented runners become better, and live their dreams.

Tony Payne 4 years ago

Great idea, Dan. Puma people, pay attention! Get this thing together a little earlier - the application deadline and choosing the field could be done a month ahead of time or something next year. Then, have flotrack follow all the candidates (thru blogs, interviews, video uploads of workouts, etc) so we the viewers get to know these guys and have a horse to bet on or cheer for. This is awesome, and has the potential to be even more awsomer!

I agree with victor, I believe track and field missed a big opportunity for broader exposure by selecting the people a few weeks ahead of time and following the athletes and their training all leading up to the grand finale, where unlike AI where we vote for the winner, we get to watch our favorite put his own might to the test.

Who wouldn't want to see "The Ghost of Steve Scott" on the start list?

Mark, you can do the commentary and refer to an imaginary ghost beating everyone, meanwhile panning the camera well in front of the field.
Even better: redemption oppurtunity for Brad Yewer?

f&w2 4 years ago

Why isn't there a mile for women also?

Victor LeMay 4 years ago

Seriously this is Torrences calling.
Didn't Torrence say in his blog that he got offered contracts similar to this but he wants the real deal, not just equipment and travel expenses?

This should be an annual thing. It could be like the American Idol of running!
