dang man...that's crazy to make up that much ground within 100 meters.
this really is a kick of the week considering its a relay. And a kick is a surge of speed anyways and in case it's not obvious, he wasn't going the exact same speed the whole time, he sped up after he got his stride going, so "technically" this WAS a kick regardless of if it was 100 meters or not.

that guy was pumped thats awesome. getting passed in a 100m sprint makes it even better thats awesome.

i would say a kick is anytime you surge by someone .. this one was killer sprinting or not :P

Ethan 4 years ago

Doe it matter if it was only a 100m? That was ridiculous regardless if you consider it a true kick or not. Definitely a quality kick of the week.

Nasty

Technically a kick is the last burst of energy that puts a runner in a favorable position. Most distance runners get the opportunity to feel the entire kick for a 100-250 or more. This makes distance runners biased about what a kick is. If you do sprints, you will understand that you can actually kick but it is very short and fast.

i think it counts as a kick when it comes to relays if it was an open 100 it wouldnt be a kick but when the anchor clearly wins the race for his team who was behind in the race it should count for kick of the week
