Great race by Levins!!
With all the NCAA + Nationals, it'll be a challenge for him to stay fresh until London.
Hope you get a break Cam

I hope Cam gets some rest before the Olympics. His season, so far, has been pretty long.

Don't get me wrong....I'm clearly pulling for Galen at the Olympics. But the way these races are run, with the last 4 laps being under 4 minutes and the last lap in 53....I'm not sure if he can hang. He did close in 4:02 in his indoor 2 mile but there's still 4 miles still to run in the 10k.
Hopefully, Lopez is going to concentrate on the 5k and not the 1500. With his x-c strength, finishing 3rd in '07 at NCAA's, this clearly suits him. I can only imagine what he could have run if he didn't take off a lap too soon.
Big props to Diego and fellow Illinois HS alumnis Chris Derrick and Evan Jager. Can't wait for the trials!!!
I just wish we knew what was up with German. Is he injured? Is he secretly training? Anyone know?

I agree butttt Galen Rupp is a legit contender in my opinion, Im assuming he can go 18 seconds faster considering thats less than a second a lap which puts him at 26:30's which makes him a contender for sure, don't underestimate Rupp, he's an animal and he's tough and he's just getting started.
great race diego and derrik future Rupp's in the making, American distance power seems to be coming back.
imagine, charles jock in the 800, wheating and centro in the 1500, Rupp Derrik and Estrada in the 5K/10K, and now Evan Jager making promising moves in the steeple, with Walter Dix sprinting well and Brysawn Nellum back, USA could be very dominant in 2016. Super exciting!

Levins is unstoppable right now! Fit, smooth, and vicious kick strength. Legit medal contender at the Games)))

STOP!!! I'm glad for Cam for a great race. But if Galen isn't even going to be a legit medal contender, and he's almost 40 seconds faster, lets not make this something bigger that it really is. Plus, I don't remember reading about anything when Derrick finished ahead of Levins at NCAA's last year.

why does alistair cragg never finish?

this may be kick of the year...

when derrick came up from the middle of the pack to the lead, the entire stadium went nuts. he looked more strong and confident than his usual self. Levins looked stronger and smoother than everyone else in the race though, and in general as a runner (4:12ish last mile). he's a force. also, simon bairu looked like he was in the pain the entire race...i wonder what is going on with that guy
