In a huge personal best, Katie Mackey claimed the 3K win at the Diamond League meeting in Stockholm. Mackey took down the field in a finishing time of 8:52, seven seconds faster than her previous personal best of 8:59.

Concluded her career as one of the greatest cross country runners in Husky history with a 23rd-place finish at the NCAA Championships, earning her third-straight All-America honor as the Huskies finished in third ... joins Regina Joyce (1980-82) as the only three-time All-Americans in UW history ... finished in the Top-10 in every race leading up to NCAAs ... placed seventh at the NCAA West Regional meet to help the Huskies to a huge win with 25 points, earning All-West Region honors ... fought through illness to take eighth at the Pac-10 Championships as UW defended its title ... earned All-Pac-10 Second Team honors for her finish ... was the No. 2 Husky finisher, fourth overall in 20:37, at Pre-Nationals, where UW won the White Race title ... finished second at the Notre Dame Invitational as the Huskies went one through four to claim the victory ... earned honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic ... (Track): Finished up one of the most decorated careers in Husky track history, setting the school record at 1,500-meters, lowering her own record in the mile run, and adding two more All-America honors ... ran the fastest 1,500-meter time of the year by a collegiate athlete in winning the Mt. SAC Relays title in a school-record time of 4:10.66 ... reached her first NCAA final at 1,500-meters, earning her eighth career All-America honor, though she was disappointed with a 10th place finish as she tied up on the final lap ... in the NCAA semi, ran her second-best time of the season in 4:13.58 ... was the NCAA runner-up in the mile indoors, matching the best finish ever by a Husky woman at the NCAA Indoor Championships ... clocked 4:36.39 in the mile final, earning her fourth career indoor All-America honor, most ever by a Husky woman ... broke her own school record in the mile at the Husky Classic, running 4:34.98 ... ran 4:16.20 in the semis of the 1,500-meters at the U.S.A. Track Championships in Des Moines, finishing 13th overall and missing the final by just one spot ... advanced to the NCAA Outdoor semis in Eugene by progressing through two rounds in Austin at the West Prelims, running 4:19.36 in the quarters ... barely missed a third-straight Pac-10 1,500-meter title, taking second in 4:16.00, falling short by less than a tenth of a second ... won the 1,500-meter title at the Pepsi Team Invite in 4:17.02 at Hayward Field ... opened her outdoor season with a PR at the Stanford Invitational, taking second at 1,500m in 4:15.04 ... earned her first career Pac-10 Track Athlete of the Week award after her record run at the Mt. SAC Relays, just the third Husky to earn the honor on the track ... once again earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.
