Nicole Blood is back in NY coaching at Columbia University. She was a captain at Oregon so coaching has been an easy transition for her. Having fun, coaching student-athletes, and logging miles in NYC - What more could a girl want?

Nicole is one of the most decorated high school distance runners of all time. While at Saratoga Springs High School she qualified for Foot Locker Finals 4 times, winning the Northeast Regional 3 times. She also lead her team to victory at the innagural NTN meet. In her junior year, Blood broke the historic Van Cortlandt Park 2.5 mile record as the first girl under 14:00. She won countless state and national titles. Highlights include winning the NIN 4xMile in a national record, being the first HS girls team to run under 20 minutes. She also won the outdoor nationals in the mile, setting a High School National record in the process. Nicole also won US Junior titles for cross country and at 5,000m on the track and representing the US Junior team internationally.

At Oregon, Nicole has continued her success as she is on her way to become Oregon's most decorated female athlete in school history. After 3 years, Blood has earned 7 All-American honors and 2 Academic All-American honors. She has placed 2nd and 3rd in the NCAA 5,000m and has a pair of top-10 finishes at the NCAA XC Championships. She also owns the school record for the 3,000m. Nicole has also won Pac-10 titles in the 5,000m and in cross country and placed 7th in the 5,000m at the 2009 US Track and Field Championships.
