I agree with anonymous here, Lagat would beat Riley, Solinsky and Goucher 99 times out of 100 even with running a 1500 prelim. He would have a much harder time beating Teg if Teg had decided to push the pace and maybe would have gotten some help from the guys listed above.

Matt should have won the 5K with Adam Goucher, Johnathon Riley, and Chris Solinsky behind him and Bernard Lagat should have 5th place.

Stupidest tactics I have ever seen. Why would they not take it out faster with a guy like Lagat who is tired from the 1500 prelims and has WAY better speed than any of them?
