So what if Coe ran a little wide. Prefontaine used to take them out to lane 6. Just asked Bjorkland............ |

Wow, thanks Ryan for setting these people straight. Now because YOU said it, they will believe what their eyes were already telling them and only a few people could figure out & that is that Coe did nothing wrong, period. |

sorry for the confusion, but if there was a mistake it wasn't mark. i was called as the race was going.....didn't look like coe deliberately went hard wide, just a slight step going into the curve. nothing that look to be wrong or illegal. just all part of racing...its good stuff :) |

Look! I know you're just trying to smooth things over by posting your somewhat short little essay of what you THINK you know, however maybe I need new ears as well. "Misspoke" is something you came up with, not me. I am sure Coe personally is a nice guy, however what happened in the race can be compared to a "sucker punch". GF got suckered, but he came back up to finish the deal. |

Poster Number 32...........................You need new glasses! Seek immediate help. He mentioned Coe running him to the outside because of the angle and the fact that he "misspoke" and should have immediately corrected himself, but didn't. Coe was nowhere near the 2nd lane, but in the middle of the first, just as German was when Coe had passed him earlier. The lack of intelligence on this board is scary! The video doesn't lie, it tells the truth which is Coe did nothing to make German run further. Ask yourself this. Was Coe on the outside line of lane 2? No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, not even close. The commentator didn't lie, he misspoke during the heat of the race and should have retracted his statement. You guys are German wanna be's or just plain stupid! Watch the video again. Maybe after 100 times you'll get it. It only took me once. |

To Um.................who cares if it was or wasn't Mark. If it wasn't, then I apologize Mark, but it sounded just like him but more importantly, that's not the point Um!!!!!!!! You and many others should get a clue. |

If one advances the footage frame be frame, you see Coe in the middle of the lane. He glances back, just as the camera picks up the bend in the turn. It appears that he is bee-lining for lane two. Stop the film. Look at his feet. They are still in the middle off lane one! Once again, case closed. |

Coe moved from the curb after completing the turn and gradually moved to the CENTER of lane one. Anything else would have idiotic. This is standard, by-the-book racing. He made a bold move. German resonded. Coe even came back at the end. Just plain great racing from both! End of story. |

runners=wusses?

going wide is a legit tactic, anyone who says otherwise is a wuss. being able to go wide is one of the benefits of front running, I am sure Pre used it a lot (just to shut up all the high schoolers who are on his nuts and pre can do no wrong). Coe took the lead late in the race and made it an exciting one, give him some props. |
