I have been watching everything Flotrack has put out since day one, and I love it. I keep coming back for more. I'm loyal. That's why its important to make suggestions on what might make it better. A suggestion isn't some sort of ultimatum of "get better or else" and it sure as hell isn't, "sell out and become NBC" its just something to help them get more. More insight, more information, and maybe even more respect.

I'm not bothered about the interview - sounds fine. It's just really great to see German out there again mixing it up! A 7:53 is a great start to the season! He'll up his game when he's good and ready - you can count on it!

Moorezy: First of all, I do have something good to say, and if you bother to check, you'll see that I've said many, many good things about Flotrack on these boards. I've also spoken personally to Ryan and others on the Flotrack crew to congratulate them on the great work they're doing overall. The finest thing they bring to the table — unparalleled in among those who cover runner in the U.S. — is their fierce passion for the sport. Ryan's coverage of Solinsky's epic 10K last spring is a perfect example. So you, sir, can take a hike. How you extrapolate my critique into an overall attitude toward Flotrack is pretty juvenile.

SimpleRunner.. get the hell outta here bud, go interview them yourself .. or get a job at flotrack.. in the meantime shut your mouth if you have nothing good to say about the Flotrack movement.

I would have to agree that more prep. work would help the interview. But please NBC & ESPN are not the outfits to emulate. You hear tons of "professional" interviews that ask stupid questions. They also announce races without knowing who is in the field or what is going on!

These Flo-guys are gaining a lot of experience and they enjoy it (and it shows). Do your best guys to improve but never lose the passion for the sport!

I agree about the "talk about" thing. German seems to be more mature and focused in the interview. He seemed to aways have an arrogant smirk his freshman year. All the best to him.

Jambo Cabao , Flotrack IS the next level. I hope they never become "professional" like NBC/Universal and ESPN. I hope they never conduct well-spoken professional interviews which demonstrate that they have no f*&^ing idea what they are talking about. NBC coverage wants to be Flotrack. What would we all rather watch? Viva Flotrack!

if you guys don't like the interviews, just watch them on nbc, or espn....

I agree with simple runner. It did all start with Mark. He always loved "so maybe talk about." I think if flotrack wants to be viewed professionally, and not as a hip young college thing, the interviewers need to learn to interview professionally. The races and coverage you provide, and te relationships you have one-on-one with the athletes are unmatched...totally suberb. If you want to take it to the next level though, learn to think about what you are going to say, andhow to say it professionally.

First of all, can the interviewers lose the phrase, "Kind of talk about . . . " How about simply "Talk about . . . " or "Tell us how . . . "

This was painful to listen to.

"And, uh, so yeah, kind of talk about … I mean, you gotta, you've been running a lot of weather problems out in Oklahoma State, and you get to come out here to Washington, in two weeks, you've gotta go to Lincoln, kind of talk about, you know, what's it's like racing, you know, just, you know, every weekend you gotta free day, a lot of travel, kind of talk about what that does to your legs."

Versus something like: "Tell us how the severe weather in the Midwest and all the travel back and forth has affected your training and maybe even your readiness to race."
