Blacksburg High School is located in Blacksburg, VA the largest town in Virginia. There are about 1187 students at the school in grades 9-12. Blacksburg has a rich running tradition. The girls have the most state titles (eleven) of any XC program in Virginia, no matter the classification. The boys have six state titles. The boys and girls also are tied with Clark County with the most consecutive state titles wins for both programs in the same year. Blacksburg boys and girls won state in 1983, 84, and 85. The girls in 2008-09 won the triple crown, winning XC, indoor and outdoor state titles in the same year. The girls finished 2nd in XC in 09 while the boys brought back the school 6th state title and first since 1998.
