Blacksburg High School is located in Blacksburg, VA the largest town in Virginia. There are about 1187 students at the school in grades 9-12. Blacksburg has a rich running tradition. The girls have the most state titles (eleven) of any XC program in Virginia no matter the classification. The boys have five state titles. The boys and girls also are tied with Clark County with the most consecutive state titles wins for both programs in the same year. Blacksburg boys and girls won state in 1983, 84, and 85. Currently the boys are ranked #1 in AA and in Virginia. The boys are #5 in the Southeast national rankings. The girls are going for their fourth consecutive state title and are currently ranked #1 in AA and #1 in Virginia. They just moved up to #17 in the USA!!
