No pre-nats coverage?? Not even an event listing? Sighhhhhhhhh at least here is a link to the meet website.http://www.uoflsports.com/sports/m-xc/spec-rel/lou-meet-maps.html
I'm going to go ahead and say I think that USC is going to make a run at that 4x400 win, they looked good. also great HJ competition today, although the crown was a little much
Levins seems to have been the real class of the field tonight. As I have discussed with a friend before, How do you beat the guy that beats Lawi? closing in 54 consistently, fast pace slow pace, doesn't matter. I, even as a CAL runner, will tip my hat to CD of Stanford. If anyone deserved a title, it was him. Looking forward to watching his career in years to come. This is not the end of his career, look out RIO 2016and most importantly Deborah Maier. FTW so excited for tomorrow night
I think in the 10K the temperature will be the single most important variable for Luke. At the PAC-12s it was unusually warm, mid to high 80's. At the West in Austin it was over 92 degrees. Now it's Des Moines and today 79-80, tomorrow maybe 82, and cooling down to 56-59 at night. Now if your a Stanford or Oregon runner that's a huge plus. If it were up over 90, the southern section of the PAC-12 would be at an advantage. So as well as Oregon has performed in distance and multiple heats, semis, finals in the last few weeks, they did it in unseasonably warm weather. In the 70's and very low 80's you have to jack up their best performances and stamina throughout the meet. - Mike,USMC forecaster retired.
