Just wanted to add my comments to this topic ....I think that the new website design is okay, but think that the editors are trying to cram too much onto the front page which leads to it looking busy and visitors not being able to find news items quickly. Maybe cutting back on the length of the home page might help.Cheers,
Yes please change the format. Not only is it hard t follow it is incredibly hard for computers to deal with and thus is incredibly clunky and slow. I have a very fast PC myself and i cant imagine what the average Joe is experiencing on a day to day basis if they are visiting this site. Something really needs to change. I even avoid coming here because i Don't want to wait for 20 seconds for every page to load. HELP US FLOTRACK!!!

Being a professional web developer and designer for the past 15 years as well as an avid fan of Flotrack, I feel obligated to comment. First, feedback from a community such as this one is always valuable in helping shape the direction of a web site. It helps gain insight into what is working, what isn't, and what is missing. I have no doubt the Flotrack staff welcome it.That said, blanket statements of "it sucks change it back" don't get results. As Truong-An commented, it would be unlikely for a site to reverse everything back after a large redesign. Sites should always be evolving and trying new things, even if that means sometimes they don't work. The more specific you can be with what you don't care for, the more likely it is to get addressed. Remember, there is a real person on the receiving end of your comments. That person is doing their best to balance numerous driving forces, some of which may be different from what you'd like.If you're passionate about this community and really want to shape its future, they're hiring: http://www.flotrack.org/article/11178-EMPLOYMENT-OPPORTUNITY-Web-Developer-at-FlocastsFlotrack.

Thanks for moving the event section. One other thing that bothered me was how narrow the view is. Screens are built widescreen so having a narrow web page leaves a lot of blank whiteness which is something I don't find appealing.
Andrew, I wasn't contributing to your post with feedback on the topic. I was simply implying that most people who post anonymously annoy me with stupid comments such as "quit your job - you aren't a real designer" and "lets agree to ban all interviews from saying 'talk about'". That's why I don't go to letsrun.com ...because that place has become full of anonymous posters with nothing better to contribute to the site than garbage. Your simple answer of "don't read their comments" doesn't exactly work because I have no way of knowing if a post will strike a nerve with me until I read it.
Simple answer then - don't read their comments!I think all comments here (named & anon.) contributed something except yours.
I'd like the upcoming meet section'a location to be switched with the flotrack leader-board.
The previous page was more succinct, easier to follow and navigate, and was better organized
Thanks guys for the feedback. What did you like on the previous version of the coverage page and what do you like on the new page? It is unlikely we'll just "roll back" but we can adapt elements form the old one moving forward.
How much longer is FT going to stick with this new webpage design that they launched during the Olympics?
It breaks all the rules for good web page design.
I find it very annoying and difficult to follow
