a great article in the denver post i saw thanks to Race Results Weekly on Melody Fairchild returning to competitive running at age 37. Fairchild was the jordan hasay of her time and still probably the greatest HS distance prep we've seen. two-time kinney (now footlocker champ)...still has course record of 16:39....and first HS under 10 for 2 mile!tells her story of ups and downs and why you didn't really see her too much after high school. we'll see her in houston for the half this january!http://www.denverpost.com/extremes/ci_16067808
