Anna Willard become the third fastest American all-time at 3:59.38 and Lisa Dobrisky the second fastest Brit all-time with her 3:59.50.

And the highlight of the meet for US fans, Dathan Ritzenhein places third in the 5000 running a NEW AMERICAN RECORD at 12:56!! CAQLa, why are you trying to support a known DRUG CHEAT like Dieter Baumann ?? The fact that he tested Positive for Doping multiple times should tell you that his performances were Drug Enhanced, which make them all illegitimate. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/general/baumann-loses-another-appeal-in-doping-case-717227.html

The only LEGIT Non-African Sub 13minute 5k runners are Bob Kennedy, Craig Mottram and Dathan Ritzenhein...Dieter Baumann disgraced himself and does not deserve mention.....GO RITZ!!!!!

I did say that Flotrack does more for U.S. distance running than any WEBSITE on the internet. I'm not saying Flotrack is more responsible than any one person, company, program, or other entity in the world. As far as the internet goes, Flotrack is building it up better than anyone. And Letsrun? Dyestat has done far more to set the bar higher for America's distancer runners than Letsrun, easily.

While well intended, your statement is a little over the top.

The biggest factor in he rise of US Distance running in the last 5 years, has been Nike's continued support.
As for websites... The all have their place.
Flotrack certainly does the best job of pre and post race interviews.
However, I really don't think any website has really helped improve USA distance running, not even LR.com with the long threads with info from world class coaches.
Running is such an individual sport.
If there is one factor that has helped advance USA distance running...well just look how long Nike has stuck with it, funding as much as they do event wise, and all the clubs.
Making it possible for runners to stay at it post college and make a living etc.

You know what's amazing? I very strongly believe that American distance running would not be kicking a$$ so much right now without FLOTRACK. Flotrack has had a bigger effect on the surge over the past couple of years than a lot of people realize. No other T&F;website on the internet is doing more to improve American distance running right now. Mark, Ryan, and all the others behind the scenes of Flotrack really started something phenomenal. A decade from now we'll have Flotrack to thank for making American distance running the best in the world again.

Dieter Baumann was shown to be a Drug Cheat who failed multiple drug tests...see the following link:
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/general/baumann-loses-another-appeal-in-doping-case-717227.html
I am surprised they didn't strip him of his Olympic Medals (silver in 1988 & Gold in 1992) the way they retroactively stripped Marion Jones, Ben Johnson and so many other DRUG CHEATS!!!!!

Ritz is a fave of mine too. I, too, hope we can see these races with Ritz and Willard and the others. I want to know how to find the races too. I'm just an old guy still learning how to use the internet. I've seen many runners do well over shorter distances for about a year after being in top marathon shape.
