One year ago, Karissa Schweizer was predicted to finish sixth at the 2016 NCAA Cross Country Championships. Then a junior at Missouri, Schweizer shocked the running world when she out-kicked top contenders Erin Finn and Anna Rohrer to win the NCAA individual crown. Since that stunning performance, Schweizer has remained at the top with two more NCAA titles and a fourth-place finish in the 5K at the USATF Outdoor Championships. Three NCAA titles later, Schweizer is no longer an underdog, but a favorite to win her fourth NCAA championship.
