What a great piece! Makes me pretty proud to be a Bostonian! Lots of wicked fantastic runners are from our area originally, Joanie Bentoit, Deena Kastor, Lynn Jennings, Shalane Flanagan.... ehhem, basically all of our female Olympic distance medal winners.... What can I say, its in the wadduh! Dont forget Boston Billy, and Greg Meyer, and Salazar lived here too!

You know the whole place is gonna go nuts if Kara or Ryan win!!! It will be huge, not car flippin, and settin fires in the street huge, like partiots or redsox titles. A more subdued/respectable celebration!

just curious, but what kind of pace was that easy run done at? 6:30/mile?

I actually saw them out while I was out running, kept up with them for about a half mile! They were going easy, I wasn't, lol.

Read the article on runners world. He is claiming to be in the best shape of his life. Running significantly faster in training runs then pre-Bejing....

Most importantly he is race hungry and its going to show.
