Ryan Hall previews the 2009 Boston Marathon back on March 1st. Ryan Hall is the top American in a great field and he is trying to become the first American to win Boston since Greg Meyer in 1983. Hall ran the last 20 miles of the course the day after the Gasparilla 15K in Tampa Bay, FL with Matt Taylor of Puma (formerly of Chasing Tradition and Chasing Kimbia). Coach Terrance Mahon was out there passing out fluids and taking notes. 11 days to go, Marathon Monday is almost upon us!

What a great piece! Makes me pretty proud to be a Bostonian! Lots of wicked fantastic runners are from our area originally, Joanie Bentoit, Deena Kastor, Lynn Jennings, Shalane Flanagan.... ehhem, basically all of our female Olympic distance medal winners.... What can I say, its in the wadduh! Dont forget Boston Billy, and Greg Meyer, and Salazar lived here too! |

Read the article on runners world. He is claiming to be in the best shape of his life. Running significantly faster in training runs then pre-Bejing.... |

I wasn't a runner at the time...but the summer I lived in Boston I worked at that Ritz camera that sits literally on the finish line. I wish I understood the magnitude of that location at the time. Can't believe that Ritz camera is still there. |
