Lauryn Williams on the Hand-Off and Hate Mail - 2009 Reebok Grand Prix

I think people are reading to much into what was said.......She was asked why the US sprint team, was performing so badly in the sprints and relays at the Olympics? She said something DUMB like.......I dont know maybe THEY put voodoo on us or something..........She never said Jamaica, She never said Hati, she never said Trinidad............But the world has IMPLIED that she was referring to Jamaica, because they dominated the sprints at the OLYMPICS!

Lauryn is one of the sweeties athletes in track and field, plus she trains with Debbie Ferguson of the Bahamas so i dont think she was referring to Jamaica, nor to any other one person or country! Was it a bad decison to make that statement on nation television....YES, but I dont think she was trying to insult anyone.......!
Adam you cannot say that the comment was made towards Jamaica,because the Bamahas, and Trinidad were carribean countries that also out performed the US at the Olympics! She was put on the spot, and was asked her opinion on why USA track was not running up to everyones expectations!
WHY DONT PEOPLE JUST GET OVER IT.......the rest of the world is catching up with the US in the sprints, everyone knows that.........This year was no differnet then when Canada was was ruling the sprints. No one Team or Nation will always be on top!!
