I think you are arguing with more than one person. Once you asked me for my name, I have never posted under anything else. I gave up on this argument a long time ago. As I said before, we can agree to disagree. |

Who's anonymous now. Man, it doesn't take much to rile you up does it? Humor goes a long way man, lighten up. Sarcasm, sarcasm, sarcasm. You just want to argue. I feel sorry for you. As you said, "you need real help dude." I have the utmost respect for cops, but man you're acting like the stereotype TV brand. It's not worth it.Anonymous? You are, not me. You haven't listed anything but a name from a phone book that anyone could list. You should have just said Joe Blowhard from the Ocean, same thing (no proof). Riled up, not quite? It is better to remain silent and be thought the fool than to speak and remove all doubt. Words you should live by, dude. I've got facts, as one poster admitted, you've got nothing. Good luck with that and I hope therapy goes well. I "truly" feel sorry for you. No logic on anything you've said, none. One person stepped up to the plate and agreed with me, but you stood alone babbling. Lighten up yourself and get over your own thoughts, they are wrong. |

And just because you google something it doesn't make it the truth.http://www.twincities.com/ci_12848023?IADID=Search-www.twincities.com-www.twincities.com&nclick_check=1 will be speaking tonight. Hopefully you live near by or can fly in to tell him that google was wrong and the 2:15 to 2:09 progress was all a figment of his imagination. |

Thank you for pointing out the sarcasm that lies within my pointless post. Anonymous poster complaining about anonymous posters? How ironic. I agree, not everyone can do anything for various reasons. I wasn't arguing that. In fact, the subject of your posting had nothing to do with what I was saying. And just because you google something it doesn't make it the truth. You left me so many questions to answer and so much time to think about how many people really care about what I said. Apparently you do.Wrong, when you google a race and verify that Beardsley ran the times I listed, it's a fact. If you want to disprove it, go ahead. I've met Beardsley and he'd be glad to have you try and tell him that he DIDN'T run the races listed in the times that I listed. Good luck with that. Ryan Hall wasn't in Beijing, it was all a smoke screen, to fool everyone but you. No, you proved my point, but whatever makes you feel good fella. It's your insecurity, not mine. You had nothing, I had facts. Good day. |

We can agree to disagree. We are discussing 2 different issues. I agree with most of what you said. However, the goal of the Hansons program is something that only Keith and Kevin can state. Even the runners may have different goals than the Hansons but neither you or I can say that the goal should be to produce Olympians. Maybe the Hansons and many of their fans have different goals for the team. In order to judge whether or not the team is a success, you would have to know the goals. If you only knew Sammy boy (45?), if you only knew. Fair enough though, believe what you will. I realize I was a little harsh on you and I sincerely apologize for that. I'm just a little more passionate in my beliefs because of my background. Call me what you will, a coward, a hotshot, or whatever, but it doesn't make it so. To me, it's clear as day, to you it's not. I could point out many, many more facts, but it's not gonna matter to you and the other poster in disagreement. Kevin said it, so you believe it. You're not listening to what's being said, but who's saying it. If Alberto said the opposite, then who would you back? I think for myself, although I did google a few facts to back up my memory. Believe me, if I was wrong on any of them, you guys would have ripped me to shreds. Water under the bridge! p.s. As far as judging a team's success and having to know the goals, you are incorrect. Kevin and Keith's goals are to get to the trials and be in the top 3. Getting Brian 3rd was an accomplishment of their goal, the Olympics. |

Sorry, but he's got ya beat Sam? He's using facts, you're not. No, I'm not him as the moderators can verify. But, I agree with his facts. Who would you rather be, Dathan or one of them? Again, he's got ya beat, bigtime. He's probably a decent runner or he wouldn't be so to the point on everything, but I truly don't know one way or the other. Give it up Sam, trust me, he's winning. |

By the way, picking a name out and claiming who you are and where you live doesn't mean it's true. Put your picture up, your pr's, your email address, and then IF you give answers to my facts, we'll talk names old man. You couldn't hang with me on your best day and I think I could debate you in my sleep, and win! |

They will be around for a long time, BUT so will groups like Deanna Kastor's (Mammoth), among others (Alberto's Nike Project). Their athletes are better and Nike among others are giving them "nice contracts", not just a place to stay and train with great runners. The question is, who will produce better athletes??? Rupp and Ritz versus Clint and Kyle. Who would you pick? Or how about Meb and Deana versus Chad and Melissa? I know the answer, do you? |

It appears that the Hansons will be around for a long time. Other groups are renting property while they are buying it. Other groups are dependent upon shoe companies. They are their own sponsors. It seems like they have a better business model than others. |

Don't think and drive! Yeah he said um, ah....it, but the man's driving. I guess you speak perfectly when you drive. Which brings me to my worthless rambling point:You need help dude. Seriously, what a pointless post and how hypocritical. Why are you anonymous? Why not put your real name? The pot calling the kettle black, right? Everything listed appeared to be facts, I googled and they were right on. He or she or whoever posted didn't bash anyone or s*&t;on anyone, but instead listed facts. Check for yourself, I did. I wanted to be an astronaunt, but instead I'm a cop, and a runner. I woke up and realized what it took to be an astronaunt, and I got news for ya, not everyone who "wants" to be one can. Get it? Not everyone can be a top runner. After so many years, you move on. No one forced you to write a worthless post, but you did. Why? Why are you imparting your opinion? Who do you think it is that cares? Again, you need real help dude, and quick. Good luck with next weeks local 5k. |

People can do what they want three years is a long time people have dreams and just because you cannot do it does not mean you have to bash others hopes. Can you read? Another worthless unintelligent post. The post you are referring to clearly stated that the poster, among many others (including YOU), can't run 2:15. How is being realistic bashing others hopes, as you stated? Did you respond to the 10,000 comparison? NO. Did you respond as to why I feel someone who is not even in the top 100 in the world doesn't have a chance at being on the podium in London? NO. Sorry Ryan and Mark, you've got a great site, but some very, very dumb posters. When you want to back up your logic, Mr. Kevin is not fine!!!, I'm all ears. You said "People can do whatever they want"???? That was very deep. I'm pretty sure that that point was already stated as to thwart off someone from pointing out the obvious. Apparently, it didn't work for at least one person, YOU. Any original ideas, something with substance as to the actual facts, like Clint never broke 2:14 and is not a 2:11 marathoner. Heck, Don Johns ran faster than Clint, in the marathon and the 10,000! There are realist and then there are people like you. |

On Clint, here's a fact. He wasn't even remotely close to Greg Meyer's 2:13:07, not even 1/3 of the way into the race and the weather was absolutely perfect. I'll give him this much, he can talk a big talk. |

I don't know who has written them off as a fluke program, but William, you must admit that they are a little overrated. Just curious, who do you expect "continued improvement" from? Names please. |

This guy does a lot for American running. Hansons has been written off as a fluke program with no future for 10 years and yet they keep improving. I expect continued improvement. |

That's just the way he talks. He is sincere and passionate about running, as is Keith, and they are both really nice guys and always have been. I don't think it's a cop out, although I'm sure that both coaches would readily admit that they are happy they acquired Brian Sell, who gave the Project some real clout. |
