Record-Breaker of the Year - Best of 2009

Its would be hard to argue that any collegiate athlete has ever had a better season than Jenny Barringer did during the 2009 track season. Over a span of 6 months Barringer produced 7 collegiate records over 5 different events, 2 NCAA championships, 1 US championship, 1 American record, and a 5th place finish at the World Championships. It seemed as though any time Jenny stepped to the track there was something special that was about to happen. She, along with the others honored during the Best of 2009, have helped make women's distance/mid-distance running strong and exciting here in the US. As Jenny is in the midst of becoming a professional athlete we have a lot to look forward to in 2010. We hope to see her continue in her record setting ways as her career continues. Thanks for a memorable year Jenny!
