Runner;
The difference between Shalane and Anna is that Anna lets fly with the F bombs during taped interviews when she looses while Shalane, while disappointed, does not. That is a big difference between the two and also why I have a difficult time supporting Anna. You can learn much more about a person when they loose than when they win.

Shalane has always been a track cage fighter and one of the few US distance runners with fearsome international cred and respect. Irony is she gets tripped in a puff race.

Why do you guys let Donohue dictate the race strategy? She parks her wide body in the front of the pack, slows down the pace, and then kicks. That would not have worked at the Diamond League in NY .. the Ethiopians and Kenyans will not allow it.

While I still love Shalane, don't be so sure she's "ladylike". I was there and as she was walking along the track she was cussing up a storm, with the f bombs and everything. I don't blame her because that would truly suck to fall during that 1500, but don't be hatin on Anna so much!
