AJ Acosta running well and in Europe

AJ Acosta has had a long road to where he's at today. After some ups and downs throughout his collegiate career he's currently in the best place he's been. Running consistently well and maturing into a leader for the Oregon Ducks. Recently AJ has stepped up big time for the Ducks at the conference and NCAA levels, he's a go to guy to get the job done. And further more, he's now kicking butt on the bigger stages! He finished second to Ryan Gregson in the B section of the mile at the Pre Classic with a huge PR of 3:53. He follow it up with another PR performance and a 3rd place performance at the Heusden Meet, his first European race where he race 3:36 (just off the Olympic A standard!). With one year to go at Oregon (he has XC and outdoor left) AJ looks to make a mark on his team by motivating and leading the younger athletes that will be up and coming for the Ducks. He also mentions the motivation for another XC title!
