Not all PRs have to come in races and championships. Some of our best days are when no one is watching and its just you against the clock. That's exactly what happened when Fawn Dorr went after it in practice during a 600 meter time trial...

What's your PR? This year athletes can upload their PRs to have a chance to get the new Brooks PR Spike named after their time! See more on the contest and enter your PR here.

Wow crazy 12 months ago

I googled fawn and saw a blog about her, did she really win FOUR big ten races in one day? The 400 AND 400hurdles? That's crazy if it's true.

elementarymath- she was obviously not saying she ran 26, 27, 27. that's obvious. AND it seems silly that u could even think she was lying when its clear that a lot of people are going to see this. including the her coach that was there. Is fawn dorr still coached by chris Johnson. someone should go talk to him... ask him if this really happened. this girl's a beast. a machine. i think she did it. hey math man, u ever seen her run?

y can't practice pr's count? i think thats' silly and awfully superficial. the moments that define us as athletes are the moments we see ourselves clearly when the crowd has gone and the stands are empty. not to mention, this is HER pr story. so, how can u say she can't pr at practice? fawn has split 51 flat in a 400, got 3rd at usa's, i'm sure she could have just spoken about the races that made her "Carrier," but i much more like the pr story that made her the athlete, not the ones that made her worth $.
u go fawn!

What she meant was that she ran about 26/27 seconds for the first 200 and 27 for the second 200, and the last 200 (where she says she had 150 meters to go and she was yelling at the coach) is left open. You can calculate that the last 200 must have been around 32 seconds for a final time of 1:26 high.
Still mildly hard to believe considering she just raced a 400, in spikes, against a talented field and ran what she supposedly split in sneakers, by herself.

I'm not saying she is a bad athlete by any means, she's very talented, not to mention a babe. I just find it hard to fully take this seriously. It's a great story, but you can't talk about something from a practice when it's meant to be a PR story, it just doesn't count.

27+27+27= 1:21She either ran 1:21 or just got caught in a big lie. The issue I have with times in practice is coaches often exaggerate times to make their athletes feel more confident.Great athlete non-the-less.

"Why not" is the exact motto I adopted this off season for track, she is now one of my new favorite runners.

Isn't she from Buffalo, NY? Thought she might be..

She's passionate and cares about what she is doing. She's spunky and I like that. Hope some day she tries the longer distances, possibly the mile!
