Mason Cathey sticking with the sport and 1500 PR after Victoria International Track Classic 2011

Mason Cathey, a 2004 grad of the University of Florida, is having the best season of her career. Mason Cathey gave up the sport for four years after college but found herself back in it after getting into collegiate coaching. Cathey, who was only a 10:42 steeple in college, has PRed at every distance this season running 2:03 for 800, 4:15 for 1500 and 9:53 for steeple while making the US steeple final for the first time and finishing 8th.
