If one finishes 2nd in a pro race, then whatever time that was is, by definition, a Pro time. We are too obsessed with times. This guy is recently finsihing top 3 in races where he previously got smoked. That's great. Let's celebrate it.

We have to take these things on a year to year basis. Has anyone run under 3:31 in the WORLD this year? Your answer is No. So how can you say 3:37 is not a pro time? I understand 3:34 is faster, but there's your different from global elite to global CHAMPIONSHIP level. Not all professionals make it to the CHAMPIONSHIP. He's within 6 seconds of the world lead in 2011, I'd say thats even good enough for a global pro time, this year. Talking about American pro time for 2011, how many Americans have run faster so far in 2011? 15 under 3:38. True, globally about 75 (one count was 73) athletes have run under 3:38 this year, which is a huge amount of people to be considered "top professional" but lets please respect the young man's 3:37. Its not the slowest, he's not the slowest. He's a class act.

Facts to consider: Centros 3:34 is not within top 30 times in the world this year. Alan Webb ran an equivalent 3:37 in Australia in March. Lagat's fastest time this year is 3:33.
Oh and JMac's race was on in 3:36. Let's please get him in a faster race!!

What is his event?, you are incredibly short-sighted and stupid. I would explain this to you but looking back at your comment its obvious you are a useless human being. You do realize your comment made virtually no sense at all right. however you did manage to construct some words with those funny little symbols we english speaking -sapiens call l-e-t-t-e-r-s. And that dizzying scramble of words you call a thought is no doubt a failed attempt at talking trash. I'll make this clear for you. Anything you may have been trying to accomplish through your comment has failed, your idiocy has completely discredited you and you have done more damage to yourself than anything else. I hope you cant live with yourself-just do it!

He is almost a lock for the 5000 team. It will be Lagat, Jager, McNamara.

yeah but its his first season out of college and has just started to develop the end of college and this yr (which he was injured 8months ago) so yeah 337 isnt olympic team standards but he's got a lot going for him.....great race for McNamara!

So 3:37, very nice but by pro standards that's not a contender's time. Centro 3:35 and there's still a handful with PR's faster than him, Jordan doesn't seem like he's a 5k guy, unless he pops something he seems to be the perfect pro "rabbit"
