(if video does not load, click here to watch) Race Video: The surprise of the year happened when Oregon redshirt Junior Matt Centrowitz Jr. took home the bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu. Centro looked smooth through the rounds but no one really considered him a strong medal contender. However, Centro showed us just how good he is and how much of a threat he'll be come 2012! Sept. 3, 2011: Asbel Kiprop becomes the first Kenyan to win gold in the men's 1500m at a World Championship. American Matt Centrowitz wins bronze.
