Women's 6k Race Brooks PreNats 2011

Race Video of the women's 6k at the 2011 ISU Pre-National Invitational, sponsored by Brooks. In the women's race we looked to see a close match-up between Colorado, FSU and Georgetown. Florida State proved to be the dominate force running with a close pack for much of the race and taking the W with 46 points to Georgetown's 99. Only three points separated Michigan, Colorado and Cornell. On the individual side, UTEP's Risper Kimaiyo threw in a surge just before 4k to distance herself from the pack which was enough to hold of the rest for the win. Dartmouth's Abbey D'Agostino, the American Junior Record Holder for 5k, race well to place second while returning NCAA runner-up Emily Infeld faded to 5th in her season debut.
