German Fernandez OK State wins 2nd conference XC title at Big 12 XC Champs 2011

German Fernandez of Oklahoma State took home the individual 2011 Big 12 Cross Country Championship title running 23:25 on the 8k course in College Station, TX. Fernandez finished less than a second in front of his teammate Colby Lowe and led his Cowboy team to their fourth consecutive Big 12 title with a 13 point win over in-state rival Oklahoma. The win marks Fernandez's first Big 12 XC title since he was a freshman in 2008.
