Team Orders, I think team unity is a very real thing in XC. It is certainly true that while both OSU and Wisconsin have very strong teams, one minor issue could set the whole thing off course. If you watch Reed Connor's interview from Big Tens, he talks about how running together pushes teammates to better performances than had they all run disconnected from one another. Wisconsin's Coach Byrne also mentioned on Sunday that Ryan Collins hanging back with Reed for a bit when Wisco's front three took off helped him find another gear over the last 1200m.

Both teams have variations of a unified strategy amongst their scoring runners. I think it's going to be really fun to watch on the 21st.

((Changes" reply 1 day ago I am also a realist. If OSU doesn't get consistency from runners 3-5, Wisconsin will blindside them at nationals. ))

So you're telling me that Wisconsin's top 5 are all going to peak at Nationals. That no one is going to be sick. That no one is going to have an injury. That no one is going to have their shoe ripped off during the race.
Besides, team unity is only in the military and firemen. This is X-C.
I wish people wouldn't make this bigger than it really is.

You always remember the singer and not the song.
I'm sure that some of the top runners are glad that they can always run for victory and not always have to run as a group.
Listening to Chris Derrick saying that he thought he would have at least 1 NCAA win by now...I
couldn't agree more. At last years NCAA's, the way the race was run, he clearly would have been there possibly for the win if he would have been allowed to run for victory. The way Stanford looks this year, and also being his last year, hopefully he's given the green light to run for the more important individual national title.

My good friend, what you are is an imbecile. This is cross country, and blindsiding is therefore not allowed!

Too bad Colorado went to the Pac 12, it would have been an epic 3 way race between them and OU and OSU.
