Adam Nelson talks about how athletes have no power and are the pawns in the sport of track and field. Adam also discusses how the Olympics are a doubled edge sword and how the IOC is restricting their value by owning the athletes one month prior to the Olympics.

Love adam nelson and his thoughts on track and field. very rational thinker, and i hope one day more and more athletes can become as vocal and progressive as him to help the sport grow.

He didn't rip off his shirt and throw it on the ground before he started talking

Governing bodies are oppressive. The IOC, IAAF, NCAA, BCS all should be abolished and I should run everything. Because I would be fair, and all disputes would be settled by an online vote held on flotrack, With the majority winning (obviously). Even the College football decisions. Sorry fatass americans, you are gonna have to become run junkies if you want to have a say in your favorite sport.

Mark, what's up with the sound on this one? But really..Gotta love Adam...who's gonna tell him he can't speak his mind?

Thanks Adam! More athletes need to speak up.

His opinions seem reasonable . Your opinions are shrewd.

Very shrewd observations by Mr. Nelson here. Funding problems were not solved when the sport went professional.
