Sorry guys, but I don't think there's a chance in Hell Jordan Hasay will leave Oregon to go Pro. She will graduate with a business degree in 2013 (with honors)!

No love for Colorado?

I agree with Mike Mather. If Jordan makes the Olympic team this year, there is no way her training will get her back in time for XC. She may even pull a Centro at the very young age of 20 and turn pro!

Over looking Maverick darling, he was only a spot behind Mo Ahmed in 2010. Here is my list

1. Lalang
2. Ahmed
3. Chelimo
4. Darling
5. Haile
6. Lelei
7. Dunbar
8. Lutz
9. Cabral
10. Reed Connor

I'd have to say the transfers would find wisconsin quite appealing as not only an athletic school but for academics as well.

The truth 6 months ago

Many sources indicate that Lalang is transferring to Ole Miss

Good picks guys

Dunbar to Oregon, so you might wanna revise your lists.

These fifth year transfers are becoming an important part of the NCAA scene, especially since the Ivy League (the most likely guys to use their last year elsewhere cuz they have to) has gotten stronger and stronger. We saw how big someone like Collins was for the Badgers winning a national title.

Henry Lelei, Texas A&M, was injured during middle of the season, still finished 9th at Nats. Can't forget about him

Mohammed Ahmed is the most underrated athlete in the NCAA he wasn't even expected to finish top 3 in his conference and finishes 5th at NCAAs. My pick for individual next year

Merber to Texas and as it was said earlier, Cabral to Colorado.

A little biased? 6 months ago

You guys are drinking the burnt orange kool aid down in Austin. No love for the #3 returner Lelei of the other school in Texas? Didn't he beat Lutz 3 out of 4 times this year? And the last two (regionals, nationals) weren't even close. Gig 'em Ags!

BOOM 6 months ago

I heard a rumor of Cabral to Colorado

Merber to Texas for his final year of eligibility.

First pick is Hasay. Put in proper context though, consider the possibility of her pulling that big rabbit out of her hat and making the Olympic squad. She will train and race into August, harder than she's ever trained in her life. About six weeks off and right into her final year of XC. That's a lot for a 20-year-old. It would be a Jenny Simpson-esque accomplishment to say the least. But then again, she is Jordan Hasay.

My picks are:
Men's Individual winner: Mohammed Ahmed
Men's team title:
1. Wisconsin
2. OSU
3. Stanford
4. Florida State
5. Indiana
6. Oregon

My picks 6 months ago

Women's individual:
1. Abbey D'Agostino
2. Jordan Hasay
3. Risper Kimaiyo
4. Katie Flood
5. Chelsey Sveinsson

I'd love to see Jordan win, but I'm going to go with Abbey. She's improving a ton each season and developing some scary strength and nasty kick. Also pulling for Chelsey Sveinsson to get healthy and show her talent again with a strong return to the sport.
Women's Teams:
1. Georgetown - Strong group back, plus two who redshirted this year, and a great recruiting class including Haley Pierce and maybe Molly Seidel
2. Florida State
3. Providence - Vengeance for missing out this year...Sisson and Greany both top 10.
4. Washington - Only lose Bab but get another strong class. Led again by an improved Flood and Goethals 1-2 punch.
5. Oregon - Lose only one senior, but add in a healthy Sarah Penney, an improved Molly Grabill, a healthy Allie Woodward, and maybe frosh Abbey Leonardi?
Men's Individuals:
1. Lawi Lalang
2. Steven Sambu
3. Mo Ahmed
4. Craig Lutz - liked your statistic about him being the 12th returner; look for him to improve a ton again.
5. Joe Rosa - two sophs in the top 5.
Men's Team:
1. Wisco
2. BYU
3. OK State
4. Providence
5. Oregon

Georgetown also gets Haley Pierce. She's going to be a huge contribution. Also, watch for Katrina Coogan to improve substantially as she gets used to longer distances and gets more strength/experience.
