There are some sweet logos up already!
I'm not at all convinced that the Nike machine could do any better in such a short period of time. Abdi has inspired the masses

Phil Knight paid $35 for the creation of the Nike "swoosh" in 1971. Adjusted for inflation that's about $175 now. Abdi is being very generous. Heck, if he agreed to wear my logo in the trials, I'd do it for free.

Mark, I can't upload my file, I even changed it form gif to jpg and I keep getting the warning about it needing to be one of these two types but it won't upload. Suggestions?

who cares, they're letting people actually have a chance to be a part of something. That $600 doesnt havta be given out and they could design their own. look at the positives

$600 and swag is a lowball offer for a logo design. NIKE's has deep pockets and a creative department that should be handling this. That's my professional opinion.
