Ryan Hall will be heading to his second Olympic Games in the marathon. This time around Ryan Hall says he's going for broke, going into the race with the open mind and not scared to mix it up with the best guys in the world. Some people think the Olympic Marathon may be a tactical affair where as Hall says it may take a PR to win. Hall finished second at the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials in Houston this past weekend.

If Ryan really wants to win in London then he needs to take this advice and use it for his own good even though he's not living in Flagstaff anymore. In fact, he could run all the way there from Redding California after Church at Bethel on sunday morning and meet up with Legat on the golf course!

The Kenyans will not run slow. The race will be won in 2:05 low at the slowest. Don't sit and wait, you have to be there all the way.

Bobble. 4 months ago

Watch the first 20 seconds with no sound. They should make a Ryan Hall bobble head.

I love how this "qsuriname" poster wants to coach Ryan Hall and thinks Hall will read these comments and get on here and be like "yeah, that would be great, let's get in touch!". Idiot.

Ryan looks completely recovered from his Olympic Trials Marathon performance. I think he ran a smart race and saved a lot

Ryan,
I'm probably your biggest fan and want you to win a marathon bad! Try watching some of the tips that Roberto Canova gives on how the Kenyans train. They modulate hard and slow to flush out lactic. I'm sure you do that as well, but with you being more experienced, I'm sure you can pick up more out of his talk. The big thing to pick up out of his talk is their aggresiveness.
Question: with you living in Flagstaff, why don't you do speed sessions with Bernard Lagat? I can get you to the turnover and leg strength that the Kenyans have. No one else who lives in that area can get you there. In almost every past race I've watched, you get gapped when there's a surge or when there's a kick. Get Lagat to objectively give you good feedback. Wanna see you on that podium in London! God Bless

The London course is completely dysfunctional! A ridiculous amount of unnecessary turns and no stadium finish will deminished the efforts all those involved. What kind of training could or should one do to maximize the slingshot ability on all those course turns? The pace of this race is going to be all over the place, up and down, back and forth. Ryan's going to feel like a yo-yo! Utimately, it's not where you run, but how you run that counts! But I can see this race becoming one big headache! So, if you automatically throw in three Kenyans and an
Ethiopian and maybe another East African was well, the best that Ryan can hope for is a 6th place finish? How is this going to pan out any differently?
