In a highly anticipated first final on the track of the NCAA Championships the question was who would win their first NCAA title....Cam Levins, Chris Derrick, or Stephen Sambu. The players were all in mix with a chance as the bell sounded but doubts set in for anyone not named Cam Levins. Levins, with less than 200 meters to go, unleashed his newly found kick of disaster to pull away from the competition to answer the fan's question and win his first NCAA title. Cam ran 58 over the final 400/4:14 last mile to cap off a 28:07 performance and break a 32 year old stadium record (only 6 seconds off Suleiman Nyambui 33 year old meet record). In the interview Cam talks about changes in the mental game after beating Lawi at Mt. SAC and apologies for taking a title away from Chris Derrick.
