Irish 1500 meter Olympian Ciaran O'Lionaird has been playing catchup this summer after being plagued by an Achilles injury during the spring. This threshold session done in between hard efforts is meant to flush the lactate from his system and prepare him for his next workout on the track. Look out for Ciaran in the first round of the 1500 meters on Friday, the first day of track and field competition at the Olympic Games. Workout: 15 minutes of [100 meters in 15 sec, 15 sec rest]
