Michael Tinsley says that in the last 150-200m of the 400H, a lot of your hurdle technique, weight room training, fall training, and of course heart, comes into play. He mentions how when it came down to the last 100 for him at the Olympics, he had to rely on the strength and conditioning he developed with hang cleans, power cleans, 600 workouts, etc., to push through and come out on top.
