The Arkansas men closed the 2013 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships out in style with their performance in the 4x400 meter relay. The squad came in ranked third, nearly two seconds behind nation leading Texas A&M and Florida but that was not going to stop them. Caleb Cross, after failing to qualify for finals in his best event, held off a major charge from UF's Arman Hall in the third leg to keep the lead for anchor Akheem Gauntlett. Gauntlett lead ever step of the way over the final 400 meters and kick homed hard through the final curve to close out the teams performance with the number one mark in collegiate history, 3:03.50....beating the old record held by a 2005 Florida team by only .01! The home crowd went nuts as the Razorbacks stamped their names in the record books en route to their program's 41st NCAA title. Team members: Marek Niit, Neil Braddy, Caleb Cross, Akheem Gauntlett
