Julian Wruck taking chances to dominate discus and become Bowerman Finalist

null

Talk about domination. In 2013 Julian Wruck of UCLA stomped the NCAA competition by not only winning the NCAA title, but by also having the top 27 throws of any collegiate in the country. In the week before the NCAA Championships Wruck threw "unattached" and hit a mark that was good enough to break the collegiate all-time best (68.16m). He went on to the World Championships where he had a tough day and finished 12th, but ended the year with the #4 throw in the world. Wruck becomes only the second thrower to be named a Bowerman finalist in the history of the award (other was Ryan Whiting in 2010).
