Todd Harbour, Baylor

null

A lot of people may not know that the US's fastest collegiate miler of all time is coaching at Baylor, a Baptist University down in Waco, TX. He ran 3:50.34 at Oslo, Norway his senior year in 1981 (still 7th fastest American all-time). He is also the only athlete in NCAA history to earn runner up honors 3 years in a row in the 1500m. Harbour talks about the race where he ran the fastest collegiate time ever, how nerves play a part in racing, and aspects of running that have carried over from being an athlete to coaching.
