The last major meet of the Japanese outdoor track and field season. This year's meet marked the retirement of Nobuharu Asahara, the 36 year-old anchor of Japanese Olympic bronze medal-winning 4 x 100 m team, and included a surprise appearance by Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.
