The 2007 McNeil Cross Country Invitational, Old Settlers Park, Round Rock Texas, October 6th 2007.

Despite scorching 95 degree temperatures, 3500 plus high school, and junior high school athletes competed in the 2007 McNeil XC Invitational, one of the biggest Cross Country meets of the year for the State of Texas.

Notable finishes from the meet included race winner, Kristie Krueger of Argyle who set the pace early in the Girls Varsity Gold race. Another dominant female performance was that of Ashley Isham, who won the Girls 4A/5A race. In the Girl’s 3A/2A/1A Varsity race first place Eryn Barroso of Wimberly and second place Colleen Adams of Wall fought it out to the finish.

On the boys side, Zack Dawson from Big Spring took home the win in the Boys Gold race with a time of 15:41 for the 5k course. In the 4A/5A boy’s varsity race, Zack Ornelas of Vista Ridge outdistanced himself from the second and third finishers Corral Hugo of Odessa, and Jason Hamilton of Big Sandy, respectively. Finally in the boy’s 3A/2A/1A race Derek Brest of Wall took the win, with Dennis Hodapp of St. Michaels Catholic finishing second.

That is a little crude don't you think. I feel that Paul Snyder will do the best job he possibly can.

That kid talks way too fast. He needs to slow down and cool it if he wants to continue to race like a champ. I've been following his races and I know he's got the ability, but let's ask ourselves if he has the heart. I know Texas running ability believe me. I've been in the running business. The kid looks pretty gay and probably gives the old RUSTY TROMBONE every once in awhile but I think he's got what it takes. Paul i'm a big fan, do it to it.
