as much as i've tried not to like this guy, it's just impossible.

redemption? revenge? I love it. if he's in the mix in 2012, i'd be thrilled.

I want to give him a pat on the back. I was rooting for him and always will be. He seems almost desperate in this interview.

I would not be surprised by a manzano, lukezic, jennings line up in 2012 for the 1500. Lagat has said he might move up to the 10k eventually. I don't think he will be in the 1500 in 2012, the 5 and the 10 maybe and I predict that Webb will be running the 5k not just the 1500.

If Lagat, Lomong, Manzano, Sherer, Webb, and Lukezic don't go to the 2012 Trials then maybe Jennings has a shot to make the team....

Hey I don't really like him going off and not focusing on running, but I understand that it is hard. I do respect him a lot for actually taking the lead and going after the time, and not being scared of doing it. He was the only one to do this in both the mens and womens 1500, so props to him.

The look in his eyes while he is talking, gave me chills, he really can do it. He has the talent and can kick, it's just the consistency that he needs. Lagat will be gone by then. I know other people will come up through the pipeline, but Gabe has a lot of running left in his legs especially after recent years of what seems to me to be running not too much mileage at all. Like Jorge Torres, seeing this guy run in high school, I knew he would be an Olympian, he was in 2000, time for him to add another to his belt. Nothing can stop a talented runner who is driven.

Gotta give`m credit. It was a windy day and stiff competition but he went for it like he needed to. I know it was disappointing for him, but I'm thrilled to see Gabe back on the professional circuit. It'll be a hard next four years, but I'm confident he'll be in the mix come 2012.
